Successful in both real estate and business, I am entrepreneurial by nature and playing a role in improving the communities where I work, live and play is an integral part of my overall business philosophy. Over the past two years I have chosen to become a real estate sales representative and have worked with numerous clients since then. I am pleased to say that, in my first full year, I was ranked second in sales at my brokerage in 2014. Real estate was a natural fit for me.
Before becoming a Realtor, I had successfully invested in Real Estate and property for nearly a decade, having negotiated my own deals before obtaining my license.
I have always enjoyed City building and my values are based and grounded on respect and understanding of successful neighbourhood and community planning. I also know that there are many variables that work together to build a successful neighbourhood and, a successful neighbourhood is likely one that my clients will want to be a part of.
Apart from my experience with Real Estate, I am a successful business owner and CFO in a leading collaborative planning firm Lura Consulting (http://www.lura.ca), which assists our clients with sustainability, consultation/ engagement and planning projects and having completed over 1,000 projects in our nearly 40 years of business.
I am a proud supporter of the Hamilton and area communities and spend many hours each year giving back to several organizations.
As a seasoned professional with 20 years of experience in the real estate world I am firmly focused on helping our clients to buy or sell their homes and properties.
I have recently retired from a fulfilling career at the city of Hamilton where I worked predominantly in business and neighbourhood development as well as film, music and creative industries. While at the city of Hamilton, I pursued my interest in real estate by getting my license. Now I can devote all of my time to real estate.
Both my careers in municipal government and in real estate have helped me to develop a great knowledge and love of Hamilton and area and I bring all of this to the table for our real estate clients.
Having bought, developed, operated and sold a number of properties in the area, I have an in-depth and personal understanding of this broad and daunting field. In order to provide even better service to our clients, I have become a Certified Staging Professional. All of our clients will receive a staging consult as part of the services that we offer.
I have spent most of my adult life in Hamilton; I love this city and continue to personally invest in the real estate market. I also have a long history of volunteering with many organizations in the city including Zonta, Rotary, the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, New Vision Music Hall are just a few.
